It’s been a massive year at Child Care Super. During 2024, we’ve become part of a larger superannuation group that has its sights set firmly on building a future worth retiring into. Being part of Future Group means that together, we have more members - which means a louder voice and more weight to campaign and advocate for the things that matter.
For example, Future Group has been working to close the superannuation gap that sees women retire with around 25% less than men[1]. We’re pleased to see that a piece of legislation that we have been advocating for, to ensure that super is paid on government funded maternity leave, was legislated this year.
Investing in a better world
Future Group also seeks investments that grow your money while also growing a better world, by investing in things like healthcare, clean energy and affordable housing.
Moving Child Care Super towards aligning our investments to these values is a gradual process and won’t impact your membership. But we’re very excited to be embarking on a journey that works towards giving us, our families and future generations a brighter future.

Another benefit of joining with a larger group was that we were able to reduce your Child Care Super fees. Larger organisations can operate more efficiently, and we’ve passed these cost savings on to you.
It also allowed us to increase our services to employers, so they have better tools to support employees.
