Child Care Super has proudly joined forces with The Fraser Foundation to champion early childhood educators.
The Fraser Foundation offers scholarships to aspiring teachers, covering the study fees for Bachelor or Graduate Diploma programs in Early Childhood Education where there would otherwise be a barrier.
As a specialist super fund for your sector, in which over 97% of the workforce is female, we understand the unique challenges women in Australia face in building retirement savings. Rising living costs don’t help. We speak to so many members who don’t seek further education because they cannot afford to or are struggling to pay for their degrees. So, we thought partnering with The Fraser Foundation was an excellent opportunity to support professional development and open more pathways into the profession.
“I cannot wait to see how this incredible opportunity benefits our early childhood sector! I was one of the very first scholarship recipients, and I can attest that receiving the support from The Fraser Foundation allowed me to study and focus on all the incredible information I was taking in, rather than worrying about how to pay for it.”
“The Fraser Foundation’s partnership with Child Care Super is so incredibly beneficial as it will allow more deserving educators the opportunity to fulfill dreams that may have previously been out of reach,” says Andrea Campbell, an early recipient of a scholarship.
What does The Fraser Foundation do?
Basically, The Fraser Foundation provides financial assistance to aspiring early childhood educators, by providing scholarship funding for qualification pathways.
Founded by passionate early years teacher Jae Fraser the Foundation aims to help, encourage, support and provide assistance to aspiring early childhood teachers (ECTs), and remove barriers to allow educators to realise their career dreams. Organisations and businesses across the sector – including Child Care Super - contribute to this funding, because it takes all of us to educate and care for the citizens of tomorrow.
The Fraser Foundation helps change lives – you can hear how from some of the early years educators who have already benefited. Our partnership will enable even more fantastic stories like these.
Why is Child Care Super supporting the Fraser Foundation?
Early educators being able to advance their careers is essential not only for individual growth but also for the evolution of the entire industry.
Our mission at Child Care Super is to help you, our members, build a secure and confident financial future. We deeply believe in the transformative power of education to change lives and the pivotal role that early childhood educators play in shaping the minds of future generations. A richer diversity of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives all contribute to learning environments that are both creative and inclusive.
We see investing in these educators as a small way we can help deliver more impactful learning and development experiences for the children who will shape tomorrow
We’re here to support the early childhood education community - so if we can help open doors for aspiring educators to follow their dreams, count us in! Our sponsorship of the Fraser Foundation means that even more educators can achieve their career goals – and together, we can foster a more sustainable and brighter future for all.
Can I apply for help from The Fraser Foundation?
Yes - you may be eligible for assistance! You will need to prove a genuine need for support or assistance with your approved Australian early years care and education course and satisfy the selection criteria. Funding can be used to cover items including course fees, resources, equipment like computers and textbooks and living away from home expenses.
The next round of application reviews runs 17 March to 7 April, but you can apply at any time.
